Job Summary

Digital Cloak is seeking a customer-focused System Administrator I to join our growing Information Technology team. This position plays a key role in delivering responsive Tier I technical support across a large enterprise environment, ensuring system stability, end-user satisfaction, and service excellence.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in help desk or IT support roles, with strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks. This role requires a collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving with professionalism and care.


Essential Functions

  • Provide courteous and timely Tier I/II technical support to internal and external users.

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to workstations, operating systems, applications, local networks, and peripherals.

  • Monitor system logs, CPU/memory usage, and network performance to proactively address performance concerns.

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and associated hardware/software.

  • Create, modify, and manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions per company policy.

  • Perform routine maintenance, including patching, software updates, and license compliance.

  • Document IT assets, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations accurately.

  • Support integration and implementation of new technologies across the enterprise.

  • Coordinate hardware/software repairs with external vendors when required.

  • Assist with maintenance of virtualized and containerized environments.

  • Ensure support interactions meet or exceed Service Level Agreement (SLA) expectations.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 1–3 years of IT support, help desk, or system administration experience.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux, and iOS operating systems.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent productivity tools.

  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage priorities under pressure and meet service deadlines.


Specialized Skills (Preferred but Not Required)

  • Experience with command-line tools for system administration tasks.

  • Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Sprints, Kanban).

  • JAMF 100 certification or equivalent Apple device management experience.

  • CompTIA Linux+ certification or equivalent hands-on Linux experience.


Education and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in an enterprise IT support or service desk setting.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated or standing for prolonged periods.

  • Regular use of computer monitors and input devices.

  • Occasional use of a step ladder for IT infrastructure access.

  • Ability to lift equipment weighing between 5–20 pounds.


Clearance Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.


Travel Requirements

  • Minimal travel required (less than 10 days per year, consecutive or non-consecutive).
